Ok, I don't have a problem with you making your own avatars and such. And I don't care if they are bright colored, a little weird, or what have you. But the pure size of these things are getting out of control. I've noticed that they are getting bigger and bigger, plus are being added to the signatures. Guys, they take up cookie space, take a long time to load if you have a slow ISP connection and are kinda an eye sore. Please shrink and/or remove some of this.

Ok... about the avatar size, in the profiles it gives you the size options or whatever.... what do you think is the biggest size we can use? like 80x80 or whatever...

if not i can remove it or make it smaller, whichever you prefer.
and while we are discussing it we should set down some exact sizes so that we have guidelines to go by. This is 250x100.

I think you could get away with it being a little longer, Laura.
As for avatars, I think we should allow up to 100x100. That's the LJ size, so it's the one most avatars seem to be made for.

some go bigger, but it can be too much....the rules at the one that is adverting for are 550x350....which is a bit much....

Yeah, that is a bit much. For more graphic-intense banners, you could probably get away with a 400 width...

The avatar size isn't bad - just the banners were getting out of hand. What you changed it to can be longer, but the height is about right. Sorry, I'm not much on knowing picture sizes to set a standard. I'll have to look into it when I'm not needing to leave for work ^^;
